The Treasure Map

                                     The Treasure Map

The weather was perfect. I was outside sitting on the porch of my condo thinking about our friends in Story Island. Ever since my brother, Ayaan and I discovered the magic portal to a wonderful island, the island was the only place I could think about. It is filled with characters from fictional stories as well as unknown characters. The island is a very beautiful place to go to.

I went inside the house and walked in the closet. I shuffled through the clothing and found the portal. As I fell deep in, I felt myself getting tinier and tinier until I was pixie tiny. I walked through the forest of talking trees until I reached Mrs. Mole’s house. She had called me to her house. I had a fine cup of English tea with Scottish Cake and chatted with Mrs. Mole about my world. She chuckled when I told her about the times I threw my milk bottle on the floor and under the bed and how my little brother makes this funny fish faces. I left her house with a good bye and went to say hi to the gnomes Tinny and Kadoka.
They were running around trying to catch each other. “Hi!!” they exclaimed in a remarkably high-pitched voice. I joined in their game of tag, which was fun. Then I headed for the beach. A gust of wind blew by and a papyrus went on my face. I walked slowly to a palm tree and drank coconut milk. What I was looking at was a treasure map. I wanted to go find the treasure which might take a day or two. I started building a ship and decided to call Mawaii the sailing fairy and Falk the dwarf. They helped build a sturdy ship and pack the needed supplies and food/drinks. I had a great crew in the ship.

The blazing sun hit my eyes and I started blinking. I rose up and stretched. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. Then I sleepily walked to the bathroom and washed up and brushed my teeth. I went to the main place of the ship when there was a deafening THUMP! I looked down and saw shore. We hit land! “WE HIT LAND! WE HIT LAND!”I celebrated by twirling till I got dizzy. “What’s all the commotion about?” asked two curious voices. “WE HIT LAND!” I said loudly. They looked down and started twirling till they got dizzy. We ate yummy Tilapia and boarded the ship. We followed the map route and something hit my foot. I rubbed my foot when Mawaii found out that what I hit was no ordinary rock, but a secret CHAMBER!

Falk lit an oil lamp and we entered in. The chamber looked as if I was in gothic scenery in France. Shadows literally danced around the chamber walls and skeletons were piled along the corridors. OK, this is creepy and giving me goose bumps. I thought. The only noise was the shifting of our feet and the loud whimpers of Falk. I looked behind and saw both Mawaii and Falk shivering and clinging to each other. “Guys, there is nothing to be scared about.” I tried convincing them. Was there anything to worry about??

We kept walking when I found an X on the floor. The others gathered around me and together we dug. Finally we hit something. Behold, the glorious treasure. We retraced our steps and found our ship. Then we climbed aboard and ate. We heard a roll of thunder and it started to rain. The waves started to run wild and zany. Soon the sun retrieved its self and the waves calmed down. After a day we hit land and we were back to Story Island. We carried the chest and distributed the treasure equally and talked about our adventure.

I left the island and went home. No time had passed by and life was different. I told Ayaan about this adventure and he was amazed. This great time is an amazing memory I’ll never forget. This all had started with a memory.
