I think you should read The
Hunger Games for many reasons. One reason you should read this book is
because of the strong features the book has. It describes important events and
helps you envision what is happening by its stunning description. Another
reason you should read it is because of its point of view, which is first
person. In the book, it is Katniss who’s speaking but, instead of Katniss, it
feels like you are in the book, seeing everything happen before your eyes. All
the words just enclose around you, from Katniss’s home to the arena. Plus,
doing a first person instinct is very hard to do. My last reason you should
read this book is because of the feelings that she express’s. Whatever she
feels, you feel as well. When I was reading the part where her ally dies, I
felt just as poignant as she did. What she did later was very dramatic. In
fact, I would have done the same. The prevailing resentment she had for the
Capitol and the Hunger Games made me feel the same. That is why I believe you
should read this book.
I believe you shouldn’t read this book for many reasons. One
reason you shouldn’t read this book is because it is miserable. I mean, there
are so many children dying that even I wasn’t able to read those parts. I felt
as if I were going to cry. Another reason why you shouldn’t read it is because
some parts a quite inappropriate. (I don’t want to mention it in this
essay.)Finally, the reason is because it gives you bad dreams if you can’t
handle it. (Trust me; I had one by the first death.)I am just trying to say,
you wouldn’t want to see the brutal deaths in your dream, would you? Especially
when it comes to the children dying and getting picked up by helicopters. That
is why you should not read this book.
I just didn't like the book at all because it was basically killing and romance, both which I don't like.
