Normal Girl to Music Star !!
I didn’t know how it happened but it just did. I participated in a worldwide music video competition and won it. The song was called POP and I made it up. Here’s how it all started:
I was watching T.V on a Saturday morning when an advertisement came on. “We are now featuring the new Kids Dance CD filled with the latest songs like ‘Happy’ or ‘Too Loud’. We also are holding a competition for musical talent. The 1st place prize will be a 60,000 dollar check and a trip to the Caribbean and also our CD with their song in it. Enter now for your chance to win. (Then comes a man with a low voice) Conditions apply. You must be 18 years or older to order. Go to our website to see the conditions.” Then there was a number on the screen. It read 1-800-567-313. “Mom, can I go in the competition?” I asked. “Sure, it won’t hurt to try.
That evening I went on the website and saw the restrictions. I could enter! So then I got started with my lyrics. I figured out that I can call my song POP, because I use the word pop a lot of times. Next, I went outside and did a locking and popping dance to go with my song. I planned the setting which is a carnival at night time. Then I started practicing over and over until the carnival came. It was music time. I dressed up in a sparkly blue shirt with skinny jeans and a denim jacket. I also dressed up in brown boots and I wore a lot of jewelry, such as bracelets, necklaces, rings. My aunt tied my hair in a side pony with a side part. I stood in front of the lit up Ferris wheel and then my mom recorded my video. When we went home, my mom and I downloaded the video to the computer. Then we submitted it on the website. Afterwards, we watched the T.V extra carefully. After one week, they showed the ad again. This time, the ad said the winner. “The 1st place winner for the 1st annual Kids Dance competition is Anam, for her song called POP! Go on our website to view her video.” The next day, a parcel with a letter came. It told us about the trip and they even provided us the tickets. The check was huge and next to it was the CD.

After the vacation to the Caribbean , I went back to school. “Can I have your autograph?” said a girl. “Whoa, you are a classic!” shouted someone else. I was smiling from ear to ear. I could feel myself blushing. I was crowded by a bunch of kids, who wanted my auto graph. I liked being famous, but I also liked being myself .“Guys, I’m just a normal kid so you could just mind your business." I told them, in a friendly way.
The week afterwards, I got an offer to sing a song with Selena Gomez. I was speechless. I went to the NJ music studio and sang. I kept on getting offers and I was full of joy. How long will I be famous?
Nice, but I think you should change that part where it says "Guys, I'm just a normal kid so could just be minding your business
ReplyDelete-First, there should be quotation marks at the end.
-Then, take out the "be" and changing "minding" to "mind".
-Before the dialogue starts, there should be a comma.
-After kid, there should also be a comma.
Wow, I feel like a grammar dictator (because I am XD)
Could you put the lyrics on here, maybe post a video? I am interested in here this!
Add more details, type, revise, add more details, type, revise, send more criticism, revise, edit, add more details. Then it would be an awesome story! Seriously, no matter how stupid or silly the plot, if you put hard work you can make it seem genuine!
Good luck!
